Catchup! Oh Boy!
Wow! Ok. So it's taken me a while to write anything in my blog.
Now, I don't want to make excuses as to why I haven't written, so I wont.
Instead I will tell you why I haven't written... I've been doing more important things.
Truthfully, I've been coming up with incredible ideas, attending seminars, going to conferences, meeting some amazing people, learning a lot about business and getting entreprenearial tips on how to make it, like, "NO MORE EXCUSES*" and "MAKING FAST DECISIONS*" & "FOCUSING ON WHAT'S IMPORTANT*" - *JT Foxx Mega Partnering Africa Conference.
Wow!
That's all I can say.
I'm very tired right now and my eyes are bleeding, but my brain won't stop working, and I'm too damn excited to actually do anything, cause I want to do everything at once. WoW!
So I've decided to practice some self diciplin and write in my blog.
Anyway, I guess I will have to do a catchup one day on the 16 day's I've skipped till today, as it's some of the most important stuff I have ever learned to get to where I am today and to my success as an entrepreneur.
Yep that's right, today is the day, I recognised that I will be a successful entrepreneur, and yes, everything I write from here on will be written in the knowledge (98% certainty) that I will be a very, very, very, very wealthy and happy person in the near future.
I'm actually happy already, it's just the money that's still on it's way (I will have to explain this concept in greater detail when I'm not so bloody tired)
Actually, what I meant to say, is that I'm exhausted, so I'm going to make this entry very quick... I'm gonna write down a few key topics that I need to catch up and elaborate on from the last 16 days (While they're fresh in my mind) ... and then I'll see If I can write anymore...
1) Coffee shops and cheescake
2) Carrying on carrying on
3) Keeping up the good work
4) Seize everything, put in in perspective and then do one thing at a time. (3 companies)
5) Checking yourself, and researching your goals before jumping into them. (Big Buy)
6 Committing and then letting it go. (Doing what needs to be done, then dong some more, and then knowing when to stop)
7) Coincidence, Fate, foresight, putting yourself in the right place at the right time, listening, and then putting it all together.
8) THE BIG IDEA!
9) Who I told the Big idea to ... was it a mistake? Trevor, My psychologist, my Financial coach, Robyn and Shane... and my 2 new business partners.
10) The Price you SHOULD pay for GREATNESS. (Buy the ticket)
11) JT FOXX Mega Conferences - the good, the bad, the ugly, the inspirational, the wow, the humanity, the lost souls, the found souls, the pitching, the being pitched, the crazies, what to do when you have the opportunity to interact with a successful person, what not to do in the presence of successful person.
12) How to apologize with sincerity, and humility without expecting forgiveness. (The media idea gift and letting stuff go)
13) Showing appreciation and respect where it's due. (Mike Eilersten, JT Foxx, and others)
14) Letting it all sink in.
15) Realising the Bigger life you're going to live
16) Living the bigger life by sharing it.
Today I met with 2 really awesome guys, and we're going to start a multi- million Rand company, that's going to develop the engine for my multi-billion Rand idea.
My thought for the day:
Never forget, that to be the person you love today and stay that way, you must give of yourself, and give others the opportunity to do the same tomorrow.
Ok, that's it, I can't write anymore, going to bed. Goodnight!

So yesterday was Friday, the end of the work week for most.
For me it was another day of trying to figure out what to do with my life and where to focus my energy.
For the most part it was a frustrating Friday, full of....
...waiting!
Argh! Why is it that most people who work in big corporate companies only get back to you when they get back to you, which is usually way late and not when you want them to get back to you (which is usually as soon as possible, if not immediately).
This is a daily frustration for me, trying to get things done, get answers; yes, no, impossible, great, let's do it, let's move on... momentum! people, momentum!
Let's make it happen... or not, but lets just move forward... PLEASE!
This passionless, disinterested work ethic that big comfortable global corporate jobs manifest motivates me even more... the sooner I can do my own thing, the better.
- I don't have time for time wasters.
There was a happy end to the day though... Earlier in the week I had made an appointment to meet with a financial coach to see if she could help me. The meeting went well and I will be going for coaching sessions as of next week. She was quite impressed with my ideas and seemed keen to work with me - I took this as a positive sign that I am sort of on the right track.
Note for the day: I think that a good way to start being an entrepreneur is to feed your curiosity, share thoughts and ideas... but most importantly, don't be afraid to speak to people! (whether you know them or not) ...Don't be scared to have an opinion, good or bad. Start a conversation, but don't just say stuff, listen as well. Take a genuine interest in what other people say, because that's the only way you'll learn what they know. Granted some of what they say might be a load of shit, but you can only really make that judgement once you've heard what they have to say.
That's how I got a lot of my leads, (most of them actually, including the number for my financial coach). By starting up conversations with strangers, telling them my thoughts and being brave enough to ask them about things I'm genuinely interested in, I managed to get the answers I needed to keep me moving in a forward direction.
Today is Saturday, and Loisa the fashion style Guru (someone I also just randomly met at a Braai the other day) and I will be heading off to Sandton City to go find appropriate clothing for me to wear to the Mega Partnering Africa conference. The Brief: "I want to look like a million bucks... but I don't have a million"
REMEMBER:
DON'T BE SCARED TO ASK! IF YOU DON'T ASK, YOU'LL NEVER KNOW!
(Loise is giving me million dollar fashion advise for free, simply because I asked her)

Why this blog?
Well, I asked myself, "How do I go about being a successful entrepreneur?"... I have the ideas, passion and motivation... but no entrepreneurial experience, and I have struggled to find material that can give me the real answers I needed to make it.
If only there was some kind of biography on the successful "me" from the future that I could read? Hmmmm?
Unfortunately there's no such thing, but maybe if I document my experiences, it might help someone (just like me) one day.
Yeah, so from this point on I will be writing about my entrepreneurial journey, the good, the bad, the ugly, and all the other stuff you won't find in a self help book, (like all the wheel-spinning you have to do about writing a blog, before you realise you need to stop wheel-spinning and just start the damn thing) ;-)
